OSPFviz works on any device that implement the OSPF-MIB, IP-MIB, SNMPv2-MIB and IF-MIB. This includes hardware routers (like Cisco routers and layer 3 switches with EMI) and software routers (like GNU zebra).
OSPFviz has been tested on these devices:
There are some SNMP OIDs missing in Zebra and Quagga, so that the 'area' and 'metric' colum only show 'n/a'. This does not affect the discovery process but the analysis checks based on these values (check 02 and 06) won't work properly.
- Cisco routers of series: 1600, 1700, 2500, 2600, 2800, 3725, 4000, 7000
- Cisco Catalyst switches with EMI: series 3550, 3560, 3750, 4006 (sup3), 6509 (sup720)
- Zebra version 0.95a on Red Hat Linux
- Quagga version 0.98.6 on Red Hat Linux
If you use OSPFviz on a router that is not included in this list, please let me know.
