Router

OSPFviz works on any device that implement the OSPF-MIB, IP-MIB, SNMPv2-MIB and IF-MIB. This includes hardware routers (like Cisco routers and layer 3 switches with EMI) and software routers (like GNU zebra).

OSPFviz has been tested on these devices:

Cisco routers of series: 1600, 1700, 2500, 2600, 2800, 3725, 4000, 7000
Cisco Catalyst switches with EMI: series 3550, 3560, 3750, 4006 (sup3), 6509 (sup720)
Zebra version 0.95a on Red Hat Linux
Quagga version 0.98.6 on Red Hat Linux

There are some SNMP OIDs missing in Zebra and Quagga, so that the 'area' and 'metric' colum only show 'n/a'. This does not affect the discovery process but the analysis checks based on these values (check 02 and 06) won't work properly.
